What does it mean to be remembered?

I was 19 when I lost my dad.

At that age you think you’re invincible, and you think your parents are too. And then suddenly… they’re not. Sickness kicks in, you stay positive for them and your family. You take on a heavy load and keep busy. You balance it all out, most of the time not speaking to people and internally knowing life will never be the same again.

Here’s the truth: I don’t remember every conversation we had. I can’t always hear his voice in my head anymore. And that sucks. Because some things — like the way someone laughs (or makes you laugh), or the little bits of advice they throw your way — deserve to stick around.

That’s why I started rMembr.

Not because I want to make another app (the world doesn’t need more pointless apps or doom scrolling). But because I want to give people the chance to hold on to the good stuff. The real stuff.

So, what’s rMembr?

Think of it as a social media style vault for your memories, your voice, your stories. A digital time capsule that’s not just photos on a phone you’ll never scroll back to.

  • Record a quick video for your kid to open on their 18th birthday.
  • Leave a voice note with the advice you wish you’d had at 20.
  • Share a song that helped you through the toughest of times
  • Or just drop a message for your best mate to remind them of that ridiculous night out you both nearly forgot (and that you love them too)

It’s not about being morbid. It’s about being real. Life’s short. People matter. And memories are worth keeping.

Not only that, a loved one passing is an admin headache! NI numbers, Policy numbers, various subscriptions and people to contact. rMembr will let you leave all that information to the right people, helping ease the stress of those elements at the toughest of times.

Why I’m Building This

Because I’d give anything to hear my dad’s voice again. To have him joke around with me. Something I can show my children so they can really see his personality. If rMembr was available back then, I like to think my Dad would have left his future grandkids messages, even though he never got the chance to meet them.

And I know I’m not the only one who feels that way.

So rMembr is my way of making sure more people get to keep those words, those laughs, those tiny pieces of love that mean everything later on.

Personal 1:1 media left for your loved ones and only shared when it is time.

Want to Be Part of It?

I’m opening up a small BETA/Testing group — early testers who want to try rMembr, break it, shape it, and make it better.

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could bottle this moment” or “I want to leave advice for my kids/grandkids” — then this is for you.
